Among the UEMOA countries contributing to the region's exports of goods, Senegal is back ahead of Mali in the 2021 ranking.

Analysis of export shares by country highlights the predominance of Côte d'Ivoire. It represents 40.6% of the Union's external sales in 2021 compared to 40.8% in 2020. In fact, the region's leading economy is followed by Burkina (15.0% against 15.6%), and Senegal (13.9% against 13.7%), thus overtaking Mali (13.6% against 14.6% in 2020), ranked 3rd in 2020.

Senegal remains the most diversified country in the Union in terms of exports from a structural point of view, along with Togo.
