From January 24 to 26, 2023, Dakar will host the 5th edition of the Public Securities Market Meetings (REMTP2023). For the first time since 2020, regional and international financial market players will meet face-to-face to discuss the challenges of the public securities market (MTP). One of the most important financing instruments for UEMOA states.

The 5th edition of the annual meeting is dedicated to the UEMOA sovereign debt market. It will focus on the theme “Investor Diversity and Public Securities Market Efficiency”. According to UMOA-Securities, the institution responsible for organizing this financial market, it will be devoted to exchanges “on ways and means of broadening the investor base to non-banking entities as well as on actions to deepen the Public Securities Market”.

On the agenda, there will be presentations, country focus and masterclasses “on themes such as the democratization of access to public securities, the transition to active management of public securities to boost the secondary market, the dynamization of the short-term securities segment in the Public Securities Market, strategies of the distribution of public securities and strategies for the management of bond portfolios”.
