On Wednesday, November 30, 2022, the National Mining Agency (Anam) opened more than 50 technical offers for mining permits. It was at the headquarters of the Ministry of Energy and Mines.

The 53rd auction session concerns marble, limestone, granite, tuff, siliceous sand, clay, and sand mining sites. They are located in 14 wilayas, including Tamanrasset, Tebessa, Timimoun, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and Tlemcen. In fact, last October, a national tender notice was launched by Anam with the aim of awarding 19 exploration permits to be auctioned.

So, the first phase of the operation concerns the technical side. It is made in a public session and in the presence of the tenderers or their duly authorized representatives. After examining the 50 offers obtained by the auction office, 45 offers were accepted and 5 rejected, including a submission from a natural person, whereas a mining license can only be granted to a legal person under mining law.

For the president of the Agency's management committee, Smaïl El Djouzi, ANAM, “today, only the materiality of the documents was examined, pending the in-depth study of the offers deemed admissible by an ad hoc committee”. “The bids will also open at a public session and in the presence of the tenderers on December 20,” he announced.
