Traffic accident in Greece: 32 dead and 85 injured

A collision occurred on Tuesday evening between a freight convoy and a passenger train travelling between Athens and Thessaloniki. This accident caused at least 32 deaths and 85 injuries according to firefighters. According to Greek media, it was “the worst rail accident that Greece has ever experienced.” Indeed, after the collision, three wagons derailed a few minutes before midnight Tuesday evening at the city of Larissa, in the center of the country.
