The Ivorian State has signed several cooperation agreements with Canada as part of its national development plan (PND 2021-2025). These agreements will make it possible to implement development projects to improve the well-being of its population and stimulate more sustainable and inclusive growth. The information comes from an announcement by the Ivorian government last Wednesday, April 26

The Ivorian and Canadian authorities signed a framework memorandum of understanding worth a total of 25 billion CFA francs ($42 million) for development projects. The main purpose of this framework agreement is to strengthen the bond of friendship and to create a framework for structured dialogue between the ministries responsible for development in the two countries. It is accompanied by nine project protocols that are structured around four priority areas, namely: health, inclusive growth, education and governance

These projects aim to support the Ivorian State in improving the living conditions of its population and in pursuing its development efforts. According to Kaba Nialé, Minister of Planning and Development, “this agreement is the embodiment of Canada's commitment to support the efforts of the Ivorian government through the formulation and implementation of development projects
