A training workshop for economic actors in the public-private market was held from 18 to 19 June 2024 on export procedures within the Continental Economic Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The workshop was organized by the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d'Ivoire (CGECI) in collaboration with the African Development Bank (AfDB)

The two-day workshop held at the headquarters of the CGECI Abidjan-Plateau aims to enable Ivorian businesses to best prepare themselves to make the most of the opportunities offered by the ZLECAF. With the support of the Support Programme for the Improvement of the Business Climate in Côte d'Ivoire (PACACI), the employers initiated this information and training session to allow the approval of provisions relating to the exchange of goods and services and to export procedures by the private sector

The Deputy Executive Director of the CGECI, Yenan Felix said that this training is an integral part of the project to strengthen the capacity of the private sector in terms of market access. For his part, the PACACI coordinator, Komenan Mougo, said that it is important to initiate a support for the competitiveness of businesses but also for access to markets.
