The Ivorian Prime Minister, Robert Beugré Mambé, has inaugurated a factory in order to process 50 tons of cashew nuts per day.

The production capacity envisaged for the factory at the cost of 15 billion FCFA reflects Côte d'Ivoire's commitment to increase the added value of its agricultural products before export, thus contributing to sustainable economic growth. The factory is in a position to create 15,000 direct and indirect jobs. According to Robert Beugré Mambé, “this initiative is an engine of industrial growth and an important source of job creation in the Boundiali region, contributing to the reduction of unemployment and the improvement of local living conditions.” According to him, this factory is a concrete proof of the country's commitment to processing agricultural products locally and to creating jobs for citizens. “It fits perfectly into our vision of making Côte d'Ivoire a world leader in cashew nut processing,” he said
