The Minister of Agriculture, Marine Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, and the Nigerian Minister of Marine and Blue Economy welcomed during their meeting the exceptional quality of the cooperative relationships between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, under the leadership of Enlightened by His Majesty King Mohammed VI and by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu. Discussions also focused on several strategic areas in the fisheries sector, including aquaculture, scientific research and the fishing industry. They also discussed seafarer training, maritime rescue, the fight against illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing, seafood marketing, and port infrastructure development, with a particular focus on sharing expertise between the two countries
