The projects envisaged by Afreximbank include the construction of a fertilizer plant in the Soyo region, Zaire province, worth 2 billion dollars, which will have a production capacity of 3.8 million tons per year. According to Benedict Oramah, who expressed his satisfaction with the development that the country has achieved in recent years, “this opportunity to have helped the Angolan Government to achieve its ambitions in terms of growth is rewarding.” According to him, the fertilizer factory will help Angola to achieve food self-sufficiency and to produce this product
