The Harmonization and Improvement of Statistics in West and Central Africa (PHASAOC) Project is an INSEED project funded by the World Bank. It has a total of four (4) components that will allow its implementation.

The PHASAOC aims to improve statistical performance, regional harmonization, data access and use and to strengthen their statistical systems. For its implementation, four (4) components have been established. The first is the harmonization and production of basic statistics using international data quality standards, which will support the production of harmonized tools at the continental and subregional levels and will support the production of basic statistics using the previous harmonized tools. The second is statistical modernization, institutional reform, human capital, human capital, accessibility and use of data that will support statistical modernization, institutional reforms, improve access, dissemination, and use of data; and human resource development

La troisième composante is the construction, improvement, and modernization of physical infrastructure. This component aims to strengthen the capacities of NSIs and statistical schools by providing them with the necessary equipment and tools to properly fulfill their mandate. The last is project management, monitoring, and evaluation, which aims to support project management and monitor project results and user satisfaction
