It was on Friday, August 2, that the National Bank for Economic Development (BNDE) and the technical secretariat of the National Committee for Monitoring Local Content (ST-CNSCL) signed a financing agreement in Dakar.

The aim of the collaboration between BNDE and ST-CNSCL is to help Senegalese companies easily access financing and to withstand competition from multinationals, especially in mining and hydrocarbons. With this partnership, the two institutions want to strengthen the competitiveness of local businesses, especially in these two sectors. The two public entities are committed to “making this partnership a real growth driver for Senegalese and économie national companies”. According to the director general of the BNDE, to achieve this, “the BNDE will create a system allowing it to support businesses quickly and effectively”. “We are in the process of setting up mechanisms for this,” he said.
