Le African Development Fund (ADF), the concession window of the African Development Bank Group, has granted a loan of 60 million dollars to Benin.

The $60 million loan granted to Benin is intended for the second phase of the Programme to Support Economic Governance and Private Sector Development (PAGE-DSP II). According to the fund, this new financial support aims to consolidate Benin's efforts to improve the business climate and attract more private investments, support the agri-food sector, a driver of économie Beninese, and strengthen climate action and promote sustainable growth.

The Beninese government plans to increase thanks to this funding to increase the private sector's contribution to 30.2% of GDP in 2024, from 29.9% in 2022. The granting of this fund will contribute significantly to the development of Benin and will promote job creation, thus contributing to the reduction of the unemployment rate
