A workshop on the creation of a standardized regional carbon credit market in West Africa was held on 6 August 2024 in Abidjan. At the opening of activities, Massandjé Touré-Listé, ECOWAS Commissioner for Economic Affairs and Agriculture, said that the institution decided to initiate a process that would lead to the establishment of a regional carbon market
