Official figures published by the Coordination Committee for the Coffee and Cocoa Sectors (CCFCC) reveal that coffee and cocoa exports have fallen for the 2020-2021 campaign in Togo.

In terms of marketing, the fall is estimated at more than 23% for coffee, the volume sold of which is 2,000 t compared to 2,600 t in 2020. The quantity of cocoa marketed, meanwhile, stood at 5,400 t in 2021 against 10 600 t a year ago, reflecting a drop of around 50%. In total, 18 economic operators exported 2,000 tonnes of coffee and 5,400 tonnes of cocoa in 2020/2021, i.e. 84% and 89% of production respectively. Precisely, coffee production stood at 2400 t against 2500 for the 2019-2020 campaign, i.e. a drop of 4% in one year. As for cocoa, its production stood at 6,100 t in 2021, whereas in the previous campaign, it stood at 10,600 t. A decline of more than 70%.
