Senegal continues to maintain the confidence of creditors. The country raised, this Friday, 40 billion FCFA on the financial market of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA).

Under its issue by auction of similar Treasury bonds for an amount of 37.5 billion FCFA, Dakar received bids of 180 billion FCFA, representing a coverage rate of 479%. At the end of the operation, an amount of 40 billion FCFA, with a maturity period of 05 years, was retained with an interest rate of 4.29%, i.e. the lowest rate in the world. 'Union, informs the Ministry of Finance and Budget. This intervention was carried out with the collaboration of the Agence UMOA-Titres and the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO).
