On Wednesday, September 14, 2022, the State of Burkina Faso raised the sum of 30 billion FCFA on the UEMOA financial market. This was at the end of a simultaneous issuance of 5-year and 7-year Treasury recovery bonds (ORD).

This operation is part of the country's economic recovery plans. UMOA-Titres indicates that the transaction resulted in global investor bids of 32.150 billion FCFA out of an amount put up for auction by the issuer of 30 billion FCFA. This gives a coverage rate for the amount put up for tender of 107.17%.

After auction, the amount of the bids accepted by the issuer amounted to 30 billion FCFA and the rejected to 2.150 billion FCFA. This gives an absorption rate of 93.31%. Investors whose bids are successful will end up with a weighted average return of 5.94% for 5-year bonds and 6.53% for 7-year bonds.
