A press release from the Ministry of Finance announced on Wednesday 12 October 2022 that the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo cashed 157.500.000.000 FC on Tuesday, October 11 or 78,750,000 USD from Treasury Bills put out to tender, by five bidders for a period of three months.

During the period from October 1 to December 13, 2022, the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo, through the Ministry of Finance, plans to borrow a total of 320 billion Congolese francs (FC). This auction will allow a coverage rate of the amount put up for auction of 197.5% at the limited accepted price of 100% and a weighted average price of 100% as well as the percentage awarded to the limited price accepted 100%.

The government also plans to borrow 180 billion CFs, or nearly 90 million USD, in both segments of the local financial market for the month of October 2022. In the DRC, the government issues these debt securities through the public treasury.
