On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, Guinea-Bissau obtained the sum of 13.674 billion FCFA on the UEMOA financial market after issuing recovery bonds (ORD) from the Treasury with a duration of 3 years. This was in order to ensure that the financing needs of its budget were covered.

21.429 billion FCFA in global submissions were registered according to UMOA-Titres data. In fact, 12,500 billion FCFA had been put up for auction by the issuer, giving a coverage rate of 171.44% for the amount put up for auction. Thus, the issuer rejected a total amount of 7.755 billion FCFA, and retained 13.674 billion FCFA corresponds to an absorption rate of 63.81%.

Interest payments will be made at the end of the first year at an announced fixed rate of 5.90%. However, bonds will be repaid on the first working day following the maturity date set for October 26, 2025.
