Congolese authorities have announced that the loan agreement signed between the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the DRC has been ratified by the country's National Assembly. The agreement was signed as part of the funding framework for the Country's Governance and Economic Diversification Support Programme.

Le prêt accordé par la Bad à la RDC est d' un montant de 92 million euros. It intervenes to support the program concluded with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), as part of the Extended Credit Facility, which extends over a period of two years (2023-2024). It is intended to improve the efficiency and transparency of public investments, strengthen the governance of public enterprises, reduce the budgetary burden of subsidies to public enterprises, and contain fiscal risks.

Ce prêt va aussi favoriser reforming the electricity sector in order to make it viable and promoting new sectors such as wood and gas in order to generate new sources of income for the Republic of the Congo.
