Find all the economic and financial information on our Orishas Direct application to download on Play StoreOn Tuesday, October 1, 2024, a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony was held between the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and the African Water and Sanitation Association (AAEA).
The three-year partnership signed between GGGI and AAEA aims at a good collaboration in the implementation of a regional capacity building program in the areas of climate change and sanitation. Through this agreement, AAEA and GGGI are committed to developing and deploying a strategic and innovative capacity building program that will promote the sharing of knowledge on the integration of sanitation into national policies to combat climate change, the use of greenhouse gas (GHG) assessment tools, and innovative ecological sanitation technologies, which can support the transition of Africa to a low carbon economy. According to François Olivier Gosso, Executive Director of the AAEA, this partnership demonstrates the commitment to equipping communities, decision-makers and experts with the skills, knowledge and tools necessary to identify and promote sustainable solutions to the climate challenges that Africa faces
.For his part, Dr. Malle Fofana, Regional Director for Africa at GGGI emphasized that this partnership promises to unlock new opportunities in our joint efforts to combat climate change and promote sustainable and efficient sanitation systems.
