From November 6 to 8, 2024, a high-level forum on pastoralism, entitled “Nouakchott @10”, is being held at the first Nouakchott International Conference Center (CICN).

Cette rencontre est organisée par le gouvernement mauritanien, avec l' implication de plusieurs partenaires techniques et financiers such as the Interstate Committee for Drought Control in the Sahel (CILSS), the World Bank (WB). L' objectif de ce forum est de take stock of the results, assess the actions and progress made over the last 10 years, in the countries of the Sahel and in West Africa, with the perspective of reviewing strategies, taking into account new challenges and new opportunities, in order to focus future investments on activities that increase the productivity and resilience of the livestock sector and ensure the security of pastoral systems.
