During the Forum of Experts of the Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on e-government, held on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 February in Gambia, ECOWAS highlighted its desire to make digital transformation a lever strategic for the inclusive and sustainable development of its member States.

Through the Regional Digital Integration Project in West Africa (WARDIP), serif">funded par la World Bank is committed to , la CEDEAO accelerating this momentum. This initiative is part of ECOWAS Vision 2050 and the Community Strategic Framework 2023-2027, which aim to promote inclusive and sustainable development. The Commission intends to position ICT as essential levers for economic growth and social inclusion. During the Forum, discussions revolved around the analysis of the findings of the 2024 United Nations e-government survey and the capacity building of experts in data governance was carried out. Participants explored key themes such as digital identification, system interoperability, data management, as well as the development of digital content adapted to the needs of citizens
