The spokesperson for the Ghanaian presidency confirmed the incident and announced immediate measures to regain control of the page. Last Tuesday, at 10:30am, the Head of State himself regained full possession of his “@JDMahama” space by posting this message: “My team restored my account, in collaboration with the X support team. Thank you for your inquiries and for your offers of assistance

The Ghanaian authorities did not fail to call on citizens to be vigilant in the face of financial scams that abound on social networks, in particular suspicious messages concerning investments supported by the president.
