Through a press release dated 24 March 2025, the president of the special delegation (PDS) of the municipality of Ouagadougou, Maurice Konaté, informs the population that any occupation of public domain is subject to annual authorization and the payment of a corresponding tax.

The PDS invites the occupants concerned to comply with the regulations in force. According to these statements, those who meet the installation conditions must also pay this tax. From now on, technical teams will conduct a census of occupied areas, which will result in the issuance of a tax notice and a receipt of payment in the event of settlement.
