Le cadre de dialogue a pour objectif de “débloquer d' autres opportunités grâce à une collaboration renforcée, en particulier dans les domaines de l' infrastructure, de la finance green and sustainable development” according to an official statement from the ministry. This initiative was raised during a meeting in Abuja between the Nigerian Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, and the EU Ambassador, Gautier Mignot. According to the Nigerian authorities, the EU is currently Nigeria's largest trading partner and one of the main sources of foreign direct investment.
