The 6th edition of the Brvm Awards organized by the Regional Stock Exchange (Brvm), which celebrates excellence and innovation in the financial sector of UEMOA. This edition based on the theme “Sale of State shares in public companies: an instrument for promoting popular shareholding and financing the national economy” will highlight the sale of State shares in public companies as a lever for democratizing

Edoh Kossi Amenounve, Director General of the Brvm indicated that this theme is of paramount importance in the economic development of the states of UEMOA. According to him, this event offers us the opportunity to highlight the players who actively contribute to the dynamism and expansion of our stock market ecosystem. The theme of this edition reflects a desire to include citizens more fully in the creation of national wealth.

The choice of Benin to host this edition follows the entry of two Beninese public companies, the Benin National Lottery (Lnb) and the International Bank for Industry and Commerce (Biic), at the Regional Stock Exchange in 2024. This testifies to the country's commitment to strengthening its presence in the regional financial market and to promoting economic inclusion through popular ownership

This also reflects a strategic desire to diversify funding sources for public enterprises and to encourage citizen participation in the country's economic growth.
