Dans le but de To promote intra-African trade and its economic integration, the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) inaugurated, on Thursday, April 10, 2025, in Abuja, Nigeria, its very first African Trade Center (AATC).

The inauguration of this world-class commercial infrastructure in Abuja, Nigeria is a major step in promoting intra-African trade in Africa. According to the representative of the Nigerian President, H.E. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Secretary of the Federal Government, Dr. George Akume, this center embodies a shared commitment to advance intra-African trade, to promote economic integration and to unleash the immense potential of the continent. According to him, “this opportunity embodies a bold vision for Africa's economic future. The AATC is a testament to the power of collaboration, resilience, and visionary leadership. It is not just a physical structure but it is the beginning of an era of innovation, a hub for entrepreneurship and a catalyst for sustainable development.”

Le président et président du conseil d' administration d' Afreximbank , Professor Benedict Oramah for his part indicated that “AATC Abuja is the first in a series of AATCs under development in Africa and the Caribbean. Some will be owned by Afreximbank style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, serif">, while others will be supported by a franchise system.” According to him, the Abuja project is the result of a 14-month journey based on hope and determination. It will have several objectives, including hosting the regional office of Afreximbank style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, serif">, housing a technology and SME incubation center, offering a digital business gateway for Africa, and providing conference, exhibition and hotel facilities.
