A group of Malian hackers known as “DjennéUnit”, managed to penetrate sensitive sites of the Algerian military regime and control them for several hours.

DjennéUnit aurait ciblé des sites tels que le ministère de l' Intérieur algérien, le Crédit Popelle d'Algérie , as well as the account of General Abdel Salam Belghoul, Director General of the Information Systems Protection Agency. The attackers revealed their identity via the “X” platform. They sent a message of direct threat to General Belghoul, saying that the person responsible for these attacks was himself, and that they knew who was behind these actions and who was hiding. In a first message, the hackers indicated the following: “General Abdel Salam Belghoul is the one who gives the orders to carry out electronic attacks against Mali. We know who is responsible, who is executing, and who is hiding. Get away from Mali, otherwise the next step will be full disclosure and no clemency.” “The world is starting to hate you. Soon, the 3GB leak of the Algerian CPA database, with more than 40 million records including names, addresses, telephone numbers, emails and others,” they wrote.
