Ibrahima Kourouma and Mohamed V. Sankhon, former administrative and financial director of the same ministry, are being prosecuted for alleged acts of embezzlement of public funds. The latter are accused of embezzling more than 12 million US dollars and 612 billion Guinean francs, as part of the management of resources allocated to pre-university education and other state projects. The prosecutor's office requested a sentence of five years in prison against the two defendants. The verdict is expected on 7 May.
