The economic and financial intelligence firm, Bloomfield Intelligence, announced, on Wednesday in Abidjan, a drop in the country's overall score, from 6.5 out of ten in 2024 to 6.3 out of ten in 2024 to 6.3 out of ten in 2024 to 6.3 out of ten in 2025, in its 2025 Ivory Coast Country Risk Report.

Despite this decline in rating, “we encourage investors to invest in this country because it is in the low risk category”, explained Stanislas Zézé, the CEO of Bloomfield Investment Corporation, after presenting the report on Côte d'Ivoire.

The firm added, however, that it maintained the Ivorian business climate score at 6.5, with stable short and long-term prospects, stressing that “this favorable climate is explained in particular by the progress made by the country in terms of governance, the fight against corruption and access to electricity”.

However, “major challenges remain, including access to finance, the high cost of production factors, and the need to develop local content conducive to the emergence of national champions,” noted Bloomfield Intelligence in its report.

Regarding macroeconomic performance, the document reassigns the score of 8.1 to Côte d'Ivoire, with stable prospects in the short and long term. Mr. Zézé said that economic growth there remained “robust” despite external shocks

.

The report explains the maintenance of this rating by the growth rate of 6.1% in Côte d'Ivoire, observed in 2024 and which is driven by the dynamism of strategic sectors, supported by the reforms and investments of the National Development Plans (PND) as well as by forecasts announcing a growth of 6.3% in the country at the end of 2025.
