This increase is due to the increase in claims on credit institutions, which stood at 9,436.3 billion CFA francs, compared to 8,453.8 billion CFA francs the previous year.
BCEAO's gold holdings grew significantly, reaching 2,531.8 billion FCFA in 2024, compared to 1,831.6 billion FCFA in 2023. However, it will need to continue to monitor risks related to financial markets and the macroeconomic environment to maintain this positive momentum
