The National Bank for Economic Development (BNDE) of Senegal officially launched, on Wednesday 23 April 2025, its ambitious five-year strategic plan, called “ENVOL 25-29". This program, according to information obtained by Sud Quotidien, aims to face present and future economic challenges through innovation, digitalization, continuous growth and the strengthening of institutional resilience

.

The document is designed around five major strategic axes, which are:

Commercial development: offering a competitive range of products and services to all market segments, with a particular focus on the Senegalese diaspora.

Operational efficiency: guaranteeing the customer an optimal experience through quality services, accessible at very competitive costs, while raising standards to international standards.

Digital transformation: relying on new technologies, in particular artificial intelligence, to make offers accessible to all Senegalese, both within the country and within the diaspora.

Governance: ensuring strict compliance with the rules and regulations put in place by the Central Bank and the UEMOA Banking Commission.

Human capital: placing people at the heart of the bank's activity, by ensuring the professional development of 304 Senegalese employees, in order to fully engage them in the BNDE's mission at the service of the country.

To achieve this, this plan is based on “strong values”, according to the leaders: transparency, ethics, responsibility, responsibility, accountability, accessibility and leadership. The ambition is clear: to allow Senegal to finance itself, to build itself and to develop sustainably.
