The State of Togo, through its Public Treasury, raised April 25, 2025 on the financial market of the West African Monetary Union (UMOA) an amount of 22 billion FCFA (37,400 million dollars) after a simultaneous auction of assimilable treasury bills (BAT) with a maturity of 364 days and comparable obligations of the treasure ( OAT).

According to data provided by the Umoa-Titres agency, the issue aroused the interest of twenty-three investors, who proposed a global envelope of 36.9 billion FCFA, translating to a coverage rate of nearly 185%.

In detail, the 350-day BATs concentrated 25.7 billion CFA francs in subscriptions, while the OATs issued over the three-year maturity recorded 11.2 billion submissions. The Togolese Treasury finally withheld 11.5 billion FCFA on BAT and 10.5 billion FCFA on OATs

Since the beginning of the year, the resources raised on the regional market now reach 165.5 billion FCFA, or nearly 50% of the annual objective set at 332 billion FCFA.
