In order to ensure the coverage of its budget's financing needs, Niger collected on Thursday, April 24, 2025, the sum of 26.429 billion CFA francs on the UEMOA financial market following a simultaneous issuance of an auction of 364-day equivalent treasury bills and assimilable 3-year treasury bonds.

The issuer had put the sum of 45 billion CFA francs up for auction. After auctions, the overall bids from investors amounted to 26.429 billion FCFA. This gives a coverage rate of 58.73% for the amount put up for auction.

In the absence of the 45 billion FCFA requested, the issuer had to make do with the 26.429 billion FCFA offered by the investors. This corresponds to an absorption rate of 100%.

Investors whose submissions were successful will end up with a weighted average return of 11.03% for bonds and 10.24% for bonds.

The State of Niger has undertaken to repay the vouchers issued on the first working day following the due date set at 23 April 2026. As for the payment of interest, it will be made in advance and deducted from their nominal value
