The State of Senegal, through its Public Treasury, raised on May 16, 2025 on the financial market of the West African Monetary Union (UMOA) an amount of 44 billion FCFA (74,800 million dollars) after a targeted auction of assimilable treasury bills (BAT) with a maturity of 364 days as well as 3- and 5-year equivalent treasury bonds

The General Directorate of Treasury and Public Accounting (DGTCP) of Senegal, had put an amount of 40 billion CFA francs up for auction. At the end of the operation, the overall bids from investors amounted to 62.935 billion FCFA. This corresponds to a coverage rate of 157.34% for the amount put up for auction.

The amount of bids accepted was 44 billion and that rejected was 18.935 billion. This gives an absorption rate of 69.91%. Investors whose bids were selected will end up with a weighted average return of 7.22% for bonds, 7.95% for 3-year bonds and 7.58% for 5-year

The issuer has committed to repay the vouchers issued on the first business day following the due date of May 17, 2026. Interest will be paid in advance and deducted from the face value of these vouchers

As for the repayment of the principal of the bonds, it will take place on the due date set at May 19, 2028 for 3-year bonds and May 19, 2030 for 5-year bonds. Interest will be paid per year at the rate of 6.30% for 3-year bonds and 6.45% for 5-year bonds, starting at the end of the first
