In order to select industrial companies wishing to benefit from free energy audits, the Energy Engineering Company (SIE) has relaunched the call for expressions of national interest.

The renewed call for expressions of national interest is part of the technical assistance program for the operationalization of the State Entity Specialized in Energy Services (ESCO) financed by the African Development Bank (ADB) via the Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA). The initiative also aims to support manufacturers in improving their energy performance. One of the objectives is to accelerate the decarbonization of the Moroccan industrial sector and to select national industrial companies so that they reduce their carbon footprint. It also aims to strengthen the energy performance of Moroccan factories since the integration of renewable energies has become major strategic levers. It is also a question of better meeting the specific needs expressed by manufacturers, and taking into account the feedback expressed, in particular those relating to requests for additional time and the lack of budgetary planning in general for the co-financing of such energy audits

Through this initiative, SIE wishes to offer a new opportunity to industrial companies to benefit from structural support in order to improve their energy performance. The proposed energy audits will be carried out in accordance with Moroccan reference standards, in particular NM ISO 50002 and NM EN 16247-3

This structuring support will result for selected companies in an in-depth analysis of their consumption, the precise identification of potential savings, targeted technical and economic recommendations, and the development of a detailed action plan for the implementation of the identified measures.
