Presidents Félix Tshisekedi and Xi Jinping had shown their common desire to strengthen economic ties between the two countries. This protocol is the first tangible implementation. According to the ARCA press release, this signature represents a major advance in bilateral cooperation. The agreement aims to exchange experiences in the area of regulation, supervision and digitalization of the insurance sector. Through this agreement, the DRC wants to learn from proven practices from China, whose market is worth nearly 800 billion dollars. Through this protocol, both parties are committed to establishing sustainable technical cooperation. The agreement includes joint workshops, executive exchanges, and discussions on digital technologies.
This agreement goes well beyond a simple administrative exchange. It reflects a clear desire: to accelerate the modernization of the Congolese financial sector and to raise the DRC to the rank of credible emerging markets
