After launching an investment fund for children in Nigeria, United Capital Asset Management, a Nigerian asset management company, is setting up in Côte d'Ivoire. This new subsidiary intends to offer Ivorian individuals and businesses diversified investment solutions

.

This new entity, called United Capital Asset Management West Africa Limited (Ucamwal), becomes the first location of this branch outside Nigeria. Its objective is to cover the entire West African market from Abidjan

.

The United Bank for Africa (UBA) group is preparing to deploy, in Abidjan, its very first asset management subsidiary outside Nigeria. United Capital Asset Management will be dedicated to mobilizing capital to finance infrastructure, energy, transport and telecommunications within the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) as well as throughout ECOWAS. “It comes ahead of the official launch of the first subsidiary outside Nigeria, of United Capital Asset Management, the investment and asset management company of the UBA Group,” says UBA Côte d'Ivoire, the local subsidiary of the pan-African holding company

.

It was on the sidelines of the 2025 Annual Meeting of the African Development Bank, which he chaired in Abidjan on May 29, that Tony Elumelu, founder and president of the UBA group, was received by the Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara. Smiling, he underlined that this establishment is part of the strategy of strengthening the group's operations in the “very dynamic UEMOA market” and its desire to support “the structural transformation of the economies of the

sub-region”.
