On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, Niger solicited the financial markets of the UEMOA in a double issue of public securities. The country planned to mobilize 100 billion CFA francs through Treasury Bonds and Bonds. The proposed maturities were 364 days and 3 years.

Niamey collected only 69.329 billion CFA francs, or about 69% of the initial objective at the end of the issue. Some countries such as Burkina Faso, Benin, Mali and Senegal participated respectively with 34.605 billion FCFA, 933 million FCFA, 23 million and 52 million FCFA

Ivory Coast, Togo and Guinea-Bissau stayed behind. No financial support recorded from them for this operation.
