During the first Forum “Financing Agro-transformation in Africa” held on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank (BAD) in Abidjan, the European Union-Africa Chamber of Commerce (EUACC) unveiled its 100-million euro financing program aimed at transforming the continental agribusiness

The first Forum “Financing Agro-transformation in Africa” marked the official launch of a “Call to Action” structured around 10 priority pillars, including access to blended finance, climate resilience and youth-led innovation and regional integration. Faced with the colossal challenge of African agricultural financing, a deficit estimated at 65 billion dollars, this forum brought together ministerial representatives, international investors, local entrepreneurs and development institutions. According to EUACC Executive Director Sonia Toro, “financing agribusiness is not only an economic opportunity, it is a strategic path to Africa's resilience, sustainability and inclusive growth

Three thematic panels structured the debates, involving major institutions such as the AfDB, FAO, FAO, IFAD and BIDC. The focus was on innovative financing models and scalable solutions for agribusiness. EUACC now has a structured portfolio of projects covering agri-food processing, digital logistics, artificial intelligence-based traceability and regenerative agriculture
