Le gouvernement de la République centrafricaine et la Banque africaine de développement organisent du 10 au 13 juin 2025 a training and political dialogue on flows illicit financial institutions and loans based on natural resources. This training will take place at the Ledger Hotel,

in Bangui, Central African Republic.

The training workshop is part of the African Development Bank's Governing Natural Resource Outflows for Enhanced Economic Resilience (GONAT) project. This project aims to strengthen domestic resource mobilization and economic resilience in six African countries such as Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, Mozambique, Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe. The three-day training will focus on the following topics:

Definitions and frameworks of illicit financial flows (FFI).

Main catalysts, drivers and socio-economic impacts of FFIs.

Tools for measuring FFI and evaluating associated risks.

Policy responses and legislative solutions.

Institutional capacity building.

The technical training sessions planned for the first two days will help build the capacity of government officials in the Central African Republic to effectively monitor, analyze, and govern natural resource sectors.

They will bring together high-level policy makers, private sector representatives, civil society organizations, and local communities to share knowledge and develop policy solutions.

A high-level policy dialogue will follow on 13 June, bringing together stakeholders to discuss concrete recommendations, promote national dialogue and multi-stakeholder engagement, and establish communities of practice to support the implementation of projects.
