This new deposit, whose reserves are estimated at more than 100 tons of gold, represents a major advance for the Ivorian mining sector
.Resolute Mining's total investment should be 300 billion CFA francs, or around 450 million euros, for an estimated operating period of more than twenty years. Gold and work: this is therefore the promise of this Doropo deposit
.According to the Government of Côte d'Ivoire, the exploitation of the future mine will generate nearly 3,000 direct jobs. “It's a relief” for Doropo City Hall. According to one of the elected officials, “it will provide activity for young people and distract them from violent extremism”, seen as a security risk in this border area. The municipality also expects the construction of schools or the equipment of the hospital, among others.
