Domestic tourism is experiencing an unprecedented surge of interest. This was affirmed by the Minister of Tourism, Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, last Monday, during her speech at the House of Representatives. According to the government official, overnight stays in classified hotel establishments reached 8.5 million in 2024, representing almost 30% of the total, while the first four months of 2025 (up to April) confirmed this trend with more than 2 million overnight stays, up 4% compared to the
previous year.This positive dynamic is no accident. The Minister recalled that the tourism roadmap launched in 2023-2026 gives a central place to the national market, through two priority axes: seaside tourism and that of natural areas. In concrete terms, several measures have been implemented under this program to stimulate demand. These include the opening of new domestic airlines in order to open up certain regions, as well as the launch of incentives to invest in the products most popular with Moroccan tourists, and targeted promotional campaigns
