Ce mercredi, le dollar américain rose for the third day in a row against the yen. While the New Zealand dollar falls. The Chinese yuan remains close to its lowest level.

The dollar rose for the third day in a row against the yen on Wednesday, as U.S. President Donald Trump promised more trade-related pronouncements after announcing 25% tariffs on Japan and other trading partners. The greenback advanced against its main peers on Tuesday after Trump started telling his trading counterparts that sharply higher U.S. tariffs would start on August 1, but then said he was open to extensions if countries made proposals. The dollar rose by 0.2% to 146.85 yen, after reaching a peak of more than two weeks the day before. The euro was little changed at $1.1720

.

The New Zealand dollar fell on Wednesday after the country's central bank suspended its easing cycle but said it still planned to cut rates further, while the Aussie retained its gain on the crosses. This propelled the Australian dollar higher, despite some selling pressure around $0.6560. The Aussie lost 0.2% to $0.6516, after gaining 0.6% overnight

The Chinese yuan stayed near its lowest level in two weeks against the US dollar on Wednesday, as renewed threats from US President Donald Trump over tariffs and continued deflation in the country dampened sentiment. At 03:02 GMT, the yuan was down 0.03% to 7.1798 per dollar, hovering near its weakest level since June

23.

The offshore counterpart traded at 7.184 yuan per dollar, down about 0.04%.
