On Thursday, July 10, 2025, the Deputy Director General of the Treasury and Public Accountancy officially launched an awareness-raising campaign. It aims to promote banking and financial inclusion in Côte d'Ivoire

.

The campaign that took place in Abidjan aims to increase the banking rate, currently estimated at 31.2%. This major initiative is scheduled from July 28 to August 3. According to the director of credit institutions and external finances (DecFinex), Ouattara Yaya, the initiative aims to strengthen the rights of populations in the Iffou, La Mé and Bounkani regions. For Ouattara, “the populations of these regions will be made aware of the use of financial services.” He emphasized that this campaign should make it possible to dispel the prejudices still held by certain sections of the population against banking institutions, and to encourage those who use informal savings schemes to use the services of the formal banking system, despite the rapid development of mobile

banking.

In addition, on behalf of the Director General, Amos Beugré recalled that the Public Treasury, fully aware of the issues and challenges associated with the modernization of mechanisms for collecting revenue and settling State expenses, has set up electronic platforms called ex; es “TrésorPay” and “TrésorMoney

”.
