The Shelter Afrique Development Bank (SHAfDB) organized its 44th General Assembly (GA) from 15 to 17 July 2025. Held in Algiers, it was the occasion for the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the institution and the African Development Bank (AfDB)

The 44th SHAfDB AG was based on the theme “autonomy and sovereignty in the housing industry in Africa: opportunities and challenges”. This memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation between the two parties to address housing and urban development concerns in Africa, within a framework based on good governance.
