A two-day seminar was held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 in Accra, Ghana. Le séminaire se situe dans le cadre de la deuxième réunion extraordinaire du Comité ministériel du GIABA . It aims to strengthen the mandate of UGIABA. en tirant parti de l' influence politique et institutionnelle des envoyés de la CEDEAO in their respective countries. At the opening of the meeting, the CEO of GIABA style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, serif">, Edwin W. Harris Jr., emphasized the urgency of collective action to combat financial crime. For him, this is essential to foster stable and prosperous societies. For his part, Ambassador Mohammed Lawan Gana, ECOWAS Resident Representative au Ghana , emphasized the need for political will and innovative strategies to combat illicit financial flows. He also referred to the recent political developments surrounding the withdrawal of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger from ECOWAS ,
