The case concerns irregularities involving several tens of millions of CFA francs, identified in an audit report conducted by ASCE-LC. According to information, the ex-manager is accused of having orchestrated, between 2020 and 2022, a system of false invoicing and overbilling in the execution of public contracts within a central management. During the hearing, ASCE-LC lawyers emphasized the need for case law in order to discourage corrupt practices in public institutions. For its part, the defence requested a referral to produce additional documents. The Court suspended the hearing and set a new date for the resumption of proceedings.
