Le gouvernement a annoncé le 14 mars dernier le lancement du programme I Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises ( i-dice) of more than $600 million to support creative and cultural industries.

The Nigerian government's program aims to make a fund of more than $600 million available to entrepreneurs aged 15 to 35 who are active in the creative industries and innovation sectors. According to the Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) represented by its president Akinwumi Adesina at the launch, “the i-DICE program is an important step towards the development of entrepreneurship and innovation in digital technologies and creative industries, including cinema, fashion and music.”

A cet effet, l' institution bancaire a investi 170 millions $ au fonds, tandis que 116 millions $ ont été obtenus auprès de The French D& Agency Package and $70 million are provided by the Islamic Development Bank. According to the Nigerian government, “an additional $271 million is expected from the private sector and institutional investors.”
