The Chad Hydrocarbons Corporation (SHT) has acquired all the shares of PETRONAS Carigali Chad Exploration and Production Inc. (THIS). This is what an official press release indicates.

the national oil company SHT consolidates control over PETRONAS' upstream and intermediary oil interests in Chad. In reality, SHT and PETRONAS (EandP) Overseas Ventures Sdn. Bhd (PEPOV), a company affiliated with the PETRONAS group, signed a share purchase agreement on December 12, 2022. The agreement provided for a transfer of PCCEPI's interests in the Doba Oil Field Consortium as well as in both companies. The transaction was completed at a closing ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 22 May 2023
